Australian culture and landscape

Hello, I'm Lou, creator of Create Evoke Photography, a Northern Territory based landscape photography business.

I specialise in capturing Australian Landscape and Culture as quality artwork for your home, office, interior design project or as gifts. My aim is to capture and portray the essence and emotion of the Australian landscape which is not distinct from its people.

I had been photographing Australian landscapes for nearly 10 years when I estalished the business in 2012 after much encouragement from friends and family. More recently I have started working with a number of Indigenous organisations and to tell their stories and share their culture through imagery.

The landscape in the Northern Territory is diverse, extreme and sometimes isolated and harsh in its beauty evoking equally diverse and intense emotions in those who survey it or participate in it and I love to capture the feelings of solitude on country and the vast space we are privy to in the Top End.

What’s in my camera bag?

I currently use a Nikon D800 with a Nikkor 16-35mm 1:4G ED lens for most of my landscape work , although most recently I’ve had a bit of a love affair with my 50mm prime lens. When I use filters it’s a Lee Filter system on the front of my lens.

My Manfrotto tripod keeps it all anchored and my shots sharp.
